Lauren’s skydive for charity
Lauren McDermott, a member of St. Cuthbert’s congregation recently completed a sponsored skydive from 15,000 feet to raise money for a charity that is close to her heart.

raised about £1000 for research into

Bob & Ivy prove you are never too old to find Love …
Bob & Ivy, members of St. Aidan’s Church, prove you are never too old to find love again and get married.
Bob Nichol, 89, and his now wife Ivy Worster, 82, met a on a cruise to Tenerife in 2019 were married in St. Cuthbert’s Church, on Saturday 11th September.
We wish them every happiness.

HARVEST FESTIVAL 2020
This year we asked the congregation to support Yew House, who provide day services for homeless people in Portsmouth.
PEREGRINE FALCON VISITORS 2020
In the spring of 2020, a pair of Peregrine Falcons took residence, nesting on the tower of St. Cuthbert’s Church.
The male bird was ringed, ‘black 67’ at Chichester Cathedral on May 17th 2016.
He is therefore 4 years old. The female was not ringed.
GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Two members of St. Cuthbert’s church, Richard & Sheila Martin Celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary during the 10 am Holy Communion Service in which they renewed their Wedding Vows.
Revd. Kate Marlow (Assistant Priest) led prayers of thanksgiving for the couple and gave a Blessing to Richard & Sheila’s marriage.
Following the service friends, family and members of the congregation enjoyed a buffet lunch in church.

Revd. Allie Ker was Inducted as Vicar of St. Cuthbert’s Copnor, on Tuesday 16th July, by The Rt Revd Christopher Foster, Bishop of Portsmouth.

Revd. Julie Minter formerly a member of St. Cuthbert’s Church was Ordained Priest in Portsmouth Cathedral and she will continue her Ministry as an Assistant Priest at St. Wilfrid’s Church, Cowplain.

GOLDEN WEDDING CELEBRATION
Valerie & Malcolm Clubley were joined by many relatives and friends to celebrate their Golden Wedding during the 10am Holy Communion Service on Sunday 10th March.
During the service the Rev. Kate Marlow gave the couple a special blessing during the service which was followed by a reception in the church.

Two members of St. Cuthbert’s Congregation Lauren Brushwood and Steve McDermott were married in St. Cuthbert’s Church on Saturday 11th August 2018.
The service was conducted by Revd. Canon David Power and the couple received a Blessing from Bishop Mathias from The Diocese of HO, in Ghana.
